The need to provide the right information to the right people at the right time using the right channels remain the core principle of the cluster when it comes to managing and sharing information. The Cluster recognizes that the information management plays a crucial role when it comes to registration of persons of concern, identification and assessment of the most vulnerable communities, monitoring of distribution reach, consolidation of partner’s interventions for complementarity and even to documentation of meetings and the conduct of protection trainings. An evidence-based approach of humanitarian response through proper information management helps the Cluster to be more transparent and accountable to target population of concern and other protection stakeholders. The Cluster information management efforts support and do not aim to substitute the Philippine government information systems.
